چکیده

Fault diagnosis of analogue circuits is essential for analogue and mixed-signal systems testing and maintenance. A new method is proposed in this paper for multiple fault diagnosis of linear analogue circuits in frequency domain. The Woodbury formula is applied to the modi9ed nodal equation to construct the fault diagnosis equation, which relates the limited measured circuit responses with the multiple faults inside the circuit in a linear way. A recently developed ambiguity group locating technique is modi9ed here to identify the faulty parameters directly. Computation cost is reduced compared to combinatorial search in traditional fault veri9cation methods. Only one node is needed for voltage measurement, but multiple excitations on accessible nodes are required for fault identi9cation. Parameter evaluation can provide the exact solution to the deviated values of faulty parameters. The faulty parameter deviations can have any 9nite values. Example circuits are provided to illustrate the proposed method. Two other methods for multiple analogue fault diagnosis sharing the same mechanism as the method proposed in this paper are also briecient. Copyright ? 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Research on Fractal Method for Soft Fault Diagnosis of Nonlinear Analog Circuits

The soft fault diagnosis of nonlinear analog circuits is an important guarantee of the stable and reliable operation of electronic products. In view of the low accuracy and heavy computation load of current soft fault diagnosis methods for nonlinear analog circuits, this paper presents a soft fault diagnosis method for nonlinear analog circuits based on fractal theory. Analyzing the single-frac...

A neural network approach for fault diagnosis of large-scale analogue circuits

An approach for fault diagnosis of large-scale analogue circuits using neural networks is presented in the paper. This method is based on the fault dictionary technique, but it can deal with soft faults due to robustness of neural networks. Because the neural networks can create the fault dictionary, memorize and verify it simultaneously, computation time is drastically reduced. Rather than dea...

Fault Diagnosis of Analog Circuits with Tolerances Using Artificial Neural Networks

This paper proposes a method for analog fault diagnosis using neural networks. The primary focus of the paper is to provide robust diagnosis using a mechanism to deal with the problem of component tolerances and reduce testing time. The proposed approach is based on the k-fault diagnosis method and artificial backward propagation neural network. Simulation results show that the method is robust...

A Methodology for Model-based Diagnosis of Analogue Circuits

In this paper we present a methodology for model-based diagnosis of analog circuits using the constraint logic programming approach. Presented methodology stems from our earlier work on the diagnosis of active analog lters by the artiicial intelligence tool CLP(<) and has the following major improvements: modeling of the diagnosed circuit is generalized to arbitrary analog circuits consisting o...
